How did you get your first gig? I always did artwork for people, but I think it really became official when I started using the computer. Incorporating my style with what the computer offers with the work. But every time I can get paid for my artwork, it’s like the first gig, because of the different clients and what they want to represent them. What kind of training did you have? I was pretty much self taught with the pencil and pad, copying and drawing superheroes from comic books. Then the usual art classes in high school, but I really How many different hats do you wear? (i.e. creating, marketing, selling, distributing, producing, publishing, etc.) Pretty much everything you mentioned. No one can push you better than you in some cases, unless it’s their job title. But there is so many cases where the artist is real nice wit' it, but don’t know how to promote and market themselves. It’s crazy, but we all live and learn. What kind of support system do you have? Friends and business partners. Sometimes I create something that everybody feeling and they can turn around and mention that rushed it or you didn’t come off on this artwork go back to the lab. Honest comments really make a person a better artist and that’s the feedback I listen to most. What’s one of the biggest challenges of being a working artist? Not getting paid. Point blank. Period. What tools do you use for creating new material? Other artists doing they thing, in any shape or form. A lot of movies and books.
